Lorain County residents Allison Brady and Nicholas Mencl (District 1), and John Eaton and Michael Sword (District 4) are this year's candidates for two seats on the LMRE board of directors. The following page includes biographies for each candidate, who all submitted nominating petitions bearing at least 25 signatures of members within their districts. Election announcements were mailed to all members of districts 1, 4, and 7 in February and March, and announced in previous issues of the magazine.
All LMRE members will receive a ballot in the mail in early June with biographical summaries of each candidate. Video profiles featuring all four candidates are also available below for members to learn more about each candidate. The winners for districts 1 and 4 will be announced during LMRE's virtual annual meeting on July 14.
District 7 was also up for election this year; however, only one member in this district turned in a valid petition bearing at least 25 signatures from members within their district by the published deadline. Because this candidate is running unopposed, the cooperative will officially recognize incumbent director Brenda Wolfe (District 7) for her new term during the annual meeting.
Voting will remain open until June 18, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.
