SmartHub is Lorain-Medina Rural Electric's free online bill payment system that allows members to monitor their daily energy use. A SmartHub account must be created before members can begin paying their electric bill online.
Provides 24-hour access to account or accounts
Sends an e-mail notification when a new electric bill is generated. The e-mail includes a link to allow for easy navigation to the members billing information. Members can use SmartHub to review account information and pay their electric bill, or they may choose to pay in a different manner.
Allows members to pay electronically using Visa, MasterCard or Discover or an electronic check transaction.
Displays posting of payments in real time, during office hours. Payments made after 7:30 p.m. may not update until the next business day.
Provides current and historical billing information, payment history and use graphs.
Allows members to enroll in Paperless Billing.
Members with multiple accounts can pay with a single payment.
Includes a free app for smartphones and tablets. Download it by searching "SmartHub" in either the Apple Store or Android Marketplace. Once the app is open, type in "Lorain-Medina Rural Electric Cooperative" as the provider. Enrollment in the outage text and email alert program. Be notified of planned outages affecting your account, as well as unexpected outages and restoration updates.
New for LMRE members: Outage alerts through SmartHub!
Members can now receive updates via text message and email regarding outages that may be affecting their area, both planned and unexpected. Sign up for this service through your SmartHub app, or online via the SmartHub portal.

Start tracking your electric use through Green Button!
LMRE residential members can now download up to 14 months of electric use data through SmartHub using Green Button. The process is easy, safe, and secure, and with this data members can track their electric use and potentially lower their monthly bills.
