John Eaton of Huntington Township was re-elected president of the Lorain-Medina Rural Electric Cooperative Board of Trustees at its meeting in August. This is Eaton’s fourth year serving as board president.
The board elects officers at its first meeting following the annual meeting.
Eaton, who represents Huntington, Penfield, and Wellington townships in Lorain County as the cooperative’s District 4 trustee, has been a board member for 29 years. He was secretary for 14 years before becoming president in 2013.
Gary Rowland of Brighton Township is serving his 12th year as vice president. He also serves as LMRE’s representative on the board of trustees of Buckeye Power, LMRE’s cooperative-owned wholesale power supplier. A board member for 38 years, he represents District 1, which encompasses Brighton and Rochester townships and Rochester Village in Lorain County; Clarksfield, New London, and Wakeman townships in Huron County; and Ruggles Township in Ashland County.
Jim McConnell of Pittsfield Township is serving his second year as secretary. McConnell has been a board member since 1997 and is LMRE’s representative on the Ohio Rural Electric Cooperatives (trade association) Board of Trustees. He represents District 2, which includes Camden, Henrietta, Pittsfield, and New Russia townships in Lorain County and Florence Township in Erie County.
Keith Lowe of Homer Township in Medina County is serving his 17th year as treasurer. As the District 8 trustee, he represents Homer and Spencer townships and the Village of Spencer in Medina County, and Congress and Canaan townships and the Village of Burbank in Wayne County.
